Syn-Star are looking for an enthusiastic individual to support with its ever-growing PC store in Rake, near Petersfield.

You will be the first point of call to members of the public who use our shop. You may be asked about the latest computer software, our repairs service, or any other I.T. related enquiry.

This full-time position is an ideal opportunity for anybody living in or around the Petersfield area. Those with and without experience are encouraged to apply; training will be given.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Support with the overall day-to-day operations of the Syn-Star PC Store
  • Repair software and hardware in-store
  • Sell computer hardware
  • Purchase individual client quotes / orders
  • Booking damaged Epson equipment via Epson Warranty Repair
  • Be a key-holder: Opening and closing the premises

Key Responsibilities:

  • In-store repairs: Mac, PC, Linux, Printer
  • Overall cleanliness and layout of the entire store / premises
  • Dealing with customer returns
  • Working with customers face-to-face instore
  • Adhering to and ensuring health and safety / fire appliance is maintained

EXPERIENCED 1ST / 2ND LINE I.T. SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

What we’re looking for:
An enthusiastic and motivated IT server technician to take full responsibility for the management of incoming support requests.  The successful candidate, who will have at least two years practical experience working on an I.T. support help desk.  They will be able to work independently and part of a team, be people focused and be a creative problem solver.


Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support SME clients I.T. hardware and network
• Attend to call outs to companies and individuals within the Hampshire area (pool cars)
• Provide remote and telephone-based support
• Build rapport with existing and potential clients
• Provide first class technical support to client accounts at all times
• Ability to keep up to date with new technology and knowledge share within the team
• Enjoy helping others with varying technical abilities


The Ideal Candidate:

• Ideally 2 years’ plus experience within the I.T support industry
• Previous experience in varied I.T Support and client accounts
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Server 2003 to date, (Mac and Citrix preferred but not essential)
• Ability to work productively within a team of 8
• Being forward thinking and innovative
• Ability to build working relationships with clients
• Must be able to drive to attend to call outs – Company pool car provided

FULL-TIME TELESALES – EXPERIENCED

Hours are: 8:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.

Job Purpose: To create face to face appointments for our sales team and to manage our direct marketing campaign.

Duties:

  • Cold call local businesses
  • Email and market to a select number of local business
  • To cleanse internal database records / customer information by obtaining and entering required data
  • Resolve customer concerns by obtaining information from customer service representative and calling customer back with new information
  • Provide sales results information by preparing and submitting a summary report of transactions
  • Maintain quality service by following organisation standards
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops

BUSINESS CLIENT ACCOUNT MANAGER

Hours: 8:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday (Located at our offices in Rake, near Petersfield

Are you the enthusiastic, motivated and experienced technology account manager to take full responsibility for the management of our business client accounts. The role will have a balance of liaising with the clients and our technicians to make sure our clients receive the best possible experience. The successful candidate, who will have considerable practical experience, will be able to work independently and part of a team, be people focused and have a keen interest in technology.
This role will either suit an experienced business account manager and/or an experienced I.T. account manager.

The Role:

  • To manage the relationship with local business owners / decision makers. These are existing clients, so it involves upselling and cross selling to existing clients
  • Working with the Sales people to handover the clients account
  • Working with the technicians to make sure the client is always happy
  • Creating and generating Quotes for business clients

Key Responsibilites:

  • To always offer the highest possible customer experience
  • To Maintain and develop key marketing strategies within the business support department

Key Activities:

  • To attend face-to-face meetings with Syn-Star clients
  • Direct sales over the telephone
  • Business networking
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest technology

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Ideally 2 years’ plus experience of Account management for SME’s
  • Previous experience in varied I.T / Telecom providers
  • Up-to-date knowledge of business technology, ideally Microsoft, Apple and Citrix
  • Ability to work productively within a team of 10
  • Ability to build working relationships with clients
  • Must be able to drive to attend client visits – Company pool car provided
